12/19/2007 Jasmin at vet
Jasmin granny visited a vet because she had difficulties running like she used to do. Being old means that you have some problems but this time nothing serious. Just aging that shows in tendons.
12/13-16/2007 Trip to Stockholm
Four women (Luna, Netta, Salla and me) and four pulis – Loncsosi Bator Maszkos (Masi), Ludas Matyi Kontyos (Kicsi), Narukerän Coco-Kaneli (Riesa) ja Wailers Black Rose (Blackie). Also Sari and Narukerän Dynamiitti-Dani joined us in Stockholm.
Nice trip but not good succes in show. All our dogs got only very goods. The winner was Siv Engmann's Vajani Derce, who lived in Finland and visited us while he was younger.

Ossi, 1,5 years, visited us for a short time. He had developed in a very positive manner. He has lots of energy - even too muvh sometimes but with age it will calm down. His hips will be x-rayed in the spring and during the summer he may be seen in shows too.
SEPTEMBER
Cseke on a visit
Cseke from our third litter has been visiting us during his family's longer trip to Greece. He has enjoyed his stay with our ladies; company of a three fine girls is undoutbly what a young man wishes. Sometimes he would however like to have a bigger portion of food - even from somebody else's plate. He has soon learned that it is not a vice thing to do. Anyhow, he tries to take care that he has enough food. At our countryhouse we often give the dogs real bones. Bones are quite big so we cut them into smaller pieces with a circular saw. Last wekkend frozen bone pieces were left to melt on a block in the wood shed. During a rainshower we went to have a cup of coffee and dogs came inside with us. Cseke however sneaked out, buried three of the bones under the building and was happily enjoying the fourth one. Two of the bones were found but we wondered if Cseke would have been himself able to find them later.

Heavy rain was a major distraction espacially during puli ring, so only few pictures were taken. The judge didn't give CK/sert to any of the dogs. She liked small pulis, which was known before the show.

08/16 - 08/19 2007 Three puppies moved to new homes
Narukerän fifth litter was named as a D litter, so both Kia's litters have names starting with D. Puppies Dirty Harry, Duunari Dino, DJ Rasta Hemmo and Diiva Donna had the vet's examination on the 16th of August. Three of puppies moved their new homes at weekend.
08/04 2007 The most impressive team trophy to Flying Mops puli team in Breedrace!
This playful event was organized for the third time: different breeds competed against each other in 80 meters sprint relay and other funny tasks. Obe, Carlos, Kincsö and Riesa with their human counterparts were named as the most impressive team.

Our boys from Hungary Pufi and Maros visited a vet to be vaccinated. They also went trough a Finnish puppy check: everything OK. Pufi already moved to his new home - and soon was he again travelling in a car to summer cottage. He has quite a amount of experience in travelling from Hungary to Finland.

Five serts junior Dani
Greetings from Hungary!
We traveled with a group of four humans and three dogs - we had kennel Wailers' Luna and Mika with us. First show was in Tallinn, Estonia on 2nd of June: BOB CACIB and SERT plus Estonian Winner -07 title to Narukerän Coco-Kanelille and BOS, CACIB and SERT to Loncsosi-Bator Maszkos a.k.a Masi. There were no other pulis.
We drove trough Hungary to Zagreb, Croatia to take part in European Winner show. Pulis were in show ring on 8th of June, judge was Peter Harsanyi. Also Narukerän Afro-Afrodite was in the ring. We had no success. It seems that Hungarians like small pulis at the moment. The show was organized really poorly in general.
We visited in Hungary our friends and met relatives of our dogs. On 9th of June we took part in Hungarian Puli Klub's breeding inspection in Salföld. There was also herding tests and shows. Loncsosi-Bator Masi and Narukerän Coco-Kaneli passed the breeding inspection. Afro didn't take part because she will not make puppies.
We brought with us two black puli boys age three months: Bakházi-Pengö Pufi "Pufi" and Szilasligeti Maros "Maros". They are looking for new homes with shared ownership. Active owners with different dog related hobbies are under search.

The judge had a really tight manner in his evaluations: only two from 8 pulis (1 white) got excellent rank. Dani ja Sari fetched their third sertification and BOS from official show rings. Really fabulous!

03/10/2007 Komisz became a grandaddy!
In Åkerby kennel in Sweden were born 10th of March 2007 5 white puppies (3 dogs, 2 bitches), mother is ”Obis” Åkerby Orbis and father Komisz's white son Confetties Kenzo. Link to Åkerby kennel.

Request to mixbreed a white and a black puli rejected
The board of the Finnish Association for Hungarian herding dogs rejected Narukerä's request for special breeding permission. We left the request 18th of December 2006 and after two months consideration the board finally gave its negative decision on 17th of February 2007. The votes were distrubuted: two yes, four no and two empty. Two members of the board had a dissending opinion about the procedure because opinion of the breeding commission was asked just from puli representatives, not all members of the commission. This could be regarded as a violation of good administration.
The plan was to use (loan for breeding) a black bitch FIN MVA Csinos von Thüringen and a white dog VDH MVA Bocskai-Telepi Komisz. My aim was to make a healthy litter with good characters - and with white genes. Both already have healthy offspring with good characters and also succes in shows.
In Finland there was one white puli puppie born in 2000 (from two black pulis with white ones in their pedigrees), before that previous ones were born in 1995 and 1994. If the goal is to keep a white puli alive as a breed in Finland (or not just here but in general) every reasonable opportunity to make healthy white puppies should be used. The negative desicion was partly based on fact that in the first litter of Csinos was one puppy with PDA (a minor heart trouble fixed with surgical treatment). According to veterinary specialists the genetics of PDA is so complex that it should not be a basis for a negative breeding decision.

19th Jasmin was at vet
Old lady Jasmin was at vet because of her very red eys and swollen eyelids, and we feared that it is glaucoma. But good news, no glaucoma, only bad infection. Otherwise Jasmin, 10 1/2 years of age, has totally healthy eyes!

11th - 14th Trip to Poland
We had a very nice trip to Poland with Salla Koski. We showed Narukerän Afro Afrodite and Coco-Kaneli in World Winner Show Poznan, judge was Peter Harsanyi from Hungary. Afro was in hard CH class, and was left to the 4th place. Coco-Kaneli took her title and was also the best of juniors, so she is now EUJW-06, BALTJW-06, WJW-06!
